Dear Amanda,
Don’t worry about money, just do what makes you happy and keeps you challenged. You will save time in the future if you follow your dreams now. In the end, do what you love and work hard; you can’t go wrong.

Dr. Amanda Jacobson received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Olaf College. From there, she pursued a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Immunology at the University of Utah. After a postdoc in Seattle, fate and an open mind led her to a career as a medical and scientific writer. She currently works as a research writer for Stanford University, often from home, in her sweat pants.
