Nobel winner on childhood experiences October 25, 2009

Came across this delightful essay by Nobel Chemistry Prize winner, Hideki Shirakawa, and had to share. He describes how his childhood experiences–from the beautiful natural surroundings he grew up in to the chores he had to perform, to his home experiments from botany to electronics–helped him develop his curiosity and honed his powers of observation.
