For aspiring science journalists! Competition ends 4/18 January 29, 2011Posted by Connie Chow in contests.
Each year the Massachusetts Society for Medical Research (MSMR) sponsors a Student Competition. This year marks it’s 20th Year.
The theme of the competition is “What A Year!” and the goal is for students to report on a recent research discovery/breakthrough from scientists at a New England Research Institution/Corporation during 2009 to early 2011. The student then tells the story of the discovery via an Essay, Poster or Video using a balance of text and graphics, being sure to include all the required elements posted on the MSMR Competition Page: http://www.msmr.org/2011Competition.html
Middle school or high school students can enter a Poster, an Essay or a Video and could be in line for recognitions and prizes up to $500. Students can be home-schooled, or can attend public, private or parochial schools.
The deadline for submissions is April 18, 2011.
